![]() I actually just recently bought a new phone because I thought maybe it was just a problem with the specific brand, but it seems both Motorola and LG phones both have this problem? Are Pixel phones the same? I'm baffled there isn't a massive protest and uprising about this, it just straight up sucks. the user about the alarm - turning on the screen, playing a sound, vibrating, etc. Of course there's zero details on when or why this update happened, no actual changes to the Clock app itself like some new setting to control this behaviour, Google controls my life and just made it straight up worse. Gets information about the next alarm clock currently scheduled. Wakes you up gradually to a sound of your choosing: Yes: a) you can have the volume increase from X to Y within Z minutes (configurable for X,Y,Z) and b) choose between all kinds of sound (pre-installed alarm sounds, an MP3 file, a playlist, a stream each with or without a 'talking clock' you can configure what. It seems like the old screen is still there, but it only shows up if you open the Clock app yourself instead of it "taking over". I'm surviving only because I turned off sound and if I mash the power button it disables the vibration while it continues to alarm. ![]() It was beautiful before, you could swipe left or right without even looking at the screen and instantly dismiss it. It also tries to track your sleep as well as wake you up. ![]() Sounds like not a big deal, but this is impossible to do while half-asleep and is just a ton slower if some alarm goes off while you're at work or whatever. Sleepzy (formerly Good Morning Alarm Clock) is one of the relatively newer clock apps.
